Kate started Enduring Scholars after witnessing the profound impact of man-made and natural disasters on communities. Growing up near Picher, Oklahoma, she saw firsthand how the catastrophic effects of the mining contamination and the devastating EF4 tornado displaced families, limited educational opportunities, and created long-term health issues for citizens in the area. Our mission is to transform the lives of students and families affected by environmental and natural disasters, using our personal connection to drive meaningful change and open doors to brighter futures.
